Now onto the Yahoo Fantasy Football ....

Now that the season's over, that was a ton of fun. How'd everyone do? Here's my teams ...

I so thought Springfield Nuclear and the Oscar trophies would go down early in the playoffs. They faced some fierce looking opponents, especially as those teams were up and down all season. Now the Chemists, I have no utter idea how they didn't go all the way. They sit in first for most of the season, only losing two games, and then fizzle in the championship. I bet they underestimated the competition. Just goes to show you, anyone can win anytime in th NFL, even in a fantasy.

I'm completely on-board with merging some leagues... theres one league with a live draft that only had 4 teams in it. I didn't bother live-drafting, because I didn't realize that a league could start with only 4 teams, and expected the draft date to be pushed off. Never been commish so I'm not tuned in to such idiosyncrasies.

Just a note... the free ESPN leagues look pretty slick, even though the Yahoo has been upgraded slightly.

Bubba, if you see this, please let us know what your thoughts are on merging some leagues with live-draft.

In Yahoo!, even if it's a live draft you can autopick. I had to do that for Ron Mexico's Pet Store because I had just gotten back from the Ren Fest and pretty much collapsed from exhaustion (it was a very humid 97-degree day). I wish I had been able to make it, but I'm not too upset with the team it autopicked for me.

So, how did everyone do, and feel about their FF teams? Espcially the DR ones.

Personally, I started out 0-4 and 1-5. Then made some great pickups to make the playoffs. Lost in the first round by .61 points. Did that hurt. One tackle, 6 yards running, 10 yard receiving. If McNabb hadn't been pulled, sigh. Oh well. One consolation game and got third place, even with my two best players all year, McNabb and Warner, doing lousy.

By record, I finished 8-6 which was fourth best.

By point, got 1994.86 which was second best.


Took me a little be to get use to this league, but most important thing I learned was that defense (team and 3 players) can be powerful and the difference maker.
