Those Hairy S'kra Mur 02/02/2006 12:26 PM CST
The picture of the S'kra on the races page depicts the male S'kra as having hair - specifically, it looks like he has a mohawk or topknot.

The picture can be found here:

Whats the feasability of getting this fixed?

It's supposed to be a crest, not hair.

It DOES look a lot like hair, or maybe feathers... but hey.

I see...I was always under the impression a crest was similar to a ridge, in so far as it went with S'kra - that the Crest was more a formation of bone and facial feature.

That works too though.

Also female s'kra are slightly bigger than the males, in majority of cases. (shrugs)

The S'kra crest is supposed to be scaly moreso than bony. Actually, someone pointed out a little while ago that the picture on the website is basicly just a Cardassian with a tail.

There's a whole lot wrong with that picture.

Where are their snouts? Why do they have cobra hoods? Why is the male bigger? Why are the tails so short?

Imagining one of those squatting down to slap the ground with their tail still brings tears to my eyes.

I wish they'd just give in finally and redo the picture, or at least make a new one to represent the mainland S'kra (and not botch it).

Upon closer inspection with higher resolution,
Yes, the S'kra "hair" is indeed a scaly crest.

Cardassian with a tail...hillarious!

How IS their tail reaching the ground and making all those movements when it's so short?

And why does the male necessarily have to be smaller than the female? They aren't snakes after all, or dragons, or sort of wyrm. They're just another race, like elves, or dwarves.

Cause the anatomy books say female > male?

Fine. I'm wrong.

Disgusting, isn't it? I've played primarily S'Kra character for years, and I still can't get past the idea of "crests". Even after being away for two years. shudder

Then again, nothing can be worse than how Elotheans were made to look. I'm glad I deleted my Elothean empath way back when.

As long as you still have a tail I can gnaw on.

Long time no see, Mehathi!

I can see crests on lizardly-sorts. Just not hair: I agree that that's not right!

There is a way to make your posts automaticly add a signature: At the top left hand corner of your screen, you should see 'options'. Click on that and see what you find.

Am I the only one that really likes how Elotheans look? :\

It's a really attractive race, just in an unconventional way. Bit like S'kra really.
