Corruption Capstone: Innocence Defied 09/12/2020 01:28 PM CDT
Prereq: Liturgy (hey, it's a pretty linear spellbook) and SRE or CRE.
Slot Cost: 1
Mana Type: Arcane (duh)
Spell Type: ritual / augmentation, utility
Target: Self
Duration: 30 minutes / 90 minutes
Description: Pulling from your knowledge of dead patterns, Innocence Corrupted muddles and perverts the original intent of Necromantic Rites.

Effect
While this spell is active, the following changes occur with your magic:
1) While Rite of Grace is active, corpses killed have a subtle thread of magic resembling a dead pattern applied to them. Any actions performed by the Necromancer that can cause Divine Outrage while this corpse is still present will misdirect the source of that action to the corpse itself, removing the Divine Outrage penalty associated with those actions.
2) While Rite of Contrition is active, instead of stripping away Transcendental Necromancy it will help maintain those patterns. How many you can maintain follows similar logic to how well you can hide with the standard usage of Rite of Grace.

Why?
A little more esoteric than others, but the tail end of the corruption spellbook is generally more hyper-specialized than all the others books. The goal of ID is half to build-on the idea of being able to mask who you are (by redirecting divine eyes elsewhere!) and half because the idea of corrupting the way we try to preemptively strip away our own corruption feels like something Necromancers would try to do. It also gives an unexpected value to something that might be otherwise disregarded by those on the more Perverse side of things.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.
