This. That and it doesn't really matter what the gods actually think. It's what the guild leadership thinks that really matters. Even more than society.

Given that they strike you down when you piss them off, I think it does quite matter what they think! Luckily, they seem to be pretty apathetic about mortal activities short of necromancy.

Technically true, you're right. I meant that in this instance, it doesn't matter what they think as far as whether or not it is legal or accepted by the guild.
