For those three individuals who wound up with the sets of Witchhunter Talons from the '16 Auction, I'm sure you've noticed that the cooldown mechanics left something to be desired. Since the talons have 20 charges to use within a 24-hour cooldown period and using them on a critter used one charge, while using them on a PC used five charges, none of the several existing cooldown mechanics worked correctly.
At this time the update has been implemented which corrects this problem. Each use of the talons, whether a one-charge use or a five-charge use, will now be tracked with its own 24-hour cooldown, and HUG has been added to provide a listing of the current "charges in cooldown/cooldown-time-remaining" situation. ANALYZE provides the same information as previously but includes the same charges/cooldown listing as HUG.
Additionally, since the talons were approved with a higher target's-defense-offset percentage than they were released with, the offset percentages have been bumped up a bit.
Now that the script update is live, the next time you analyze your talons you'll see a message stating:
Your talons' magical defense offset percentage has just been permanently increased from twenty-five to forty." - (for green talons)
or
Your talons' magical defense offset percentage has just been permanently increased from forty to fifty-five." - (for yellow talons)
or
Your talons' magical defense offset percentage has just been permanently increased from fifty-five to seventy." - (for red talons)
But that message will only appear once because after the percentage has been changed by the script it won't trigger the percentage change or the message again.
Thank you for your patience regarding the "less than ideal" cooldown mechanics that you've had to endure for the past eighteen months. I hope you'll enjoy the talons, now that they're functioning as they were originally designed and approved.
