Highman games / Events calendar 03/23/2013 01:32 AM CDT

Yesterday I heard someone say they didn't know when the Highman Games was going to take place. I was so shocked I almost spat out my ale....almost.

Could this go in the events calendar please?

I have no idea, either. I actually went searching for that info, but couldn't find it. I'd hate to miss it! :)

Thirteen (13) Days to go until the Highman Games.

I'll have to be the unofficial In-game Herald. Will take a few tips from the Mist Harbor town criers!

Aiza's Announcement

<I'm pleased to announce the return of the Highman Games. The official games will run from Friday, April 5th to Sunday, April 7th, though the grounds will be open until Friday, April 12th. The festivities will run in both Prime and Platinum during this time.

<In accordance with tradition, everyone is encouraged to compete in the games, but only Giantmen and Dwarves are able to register official scores and be eligible for prizes. A schedule of games will be forthcoming.

<And I'm especially proud to announce that Kharam Dzu will be hosting the Highman Games this year. Transport to and from Teras Isle (including level limit) will be adjusted at an appropriate time in preparation for the games.

<I will be posting more details about the Highman Games soon.

Any information on the time of the actual events?

Trying to decide if I need to take that Friday (4/05) off or if only the opening ceremony will be that day, maybe later in the evening?

It should be in the evening. Gwen and my wedding is that day at 7pm, eastern, and we were told that was before the games started, so we wouldn't have to compete with the games.

smirk If they were a tad more daring they'd have the wedding during the Highman Games, somewhere between the caber toss and the drinking game. They just don't make brides and grooms like they used to.

Ok am spending the weekend in the Landing to get some warrior interviews and more importantly to promote the Highman Games. If you are aware of anyone who can't afford the boar price - whatever that's going to be - but who wants to come, please let that person know ill pay for his/ her transportation.
