Folks who attacked Althedeus will, or should be noticing those shivers and whispered voices.

I would like to tell you that is all, and not just the beginning....but I cannot. Mwu ha ha haha.

What did you do, Ray?

:P

It's been taking it's toll on my paladin, slowly and surely. Thankfully Regwen and Katiesa are usually there when it does happen to Falvicar to help him fight it - and sometimes.. it happens at the Shrine of Ronan. Thankfully the blue fire keeps his head occupied and something to focus upon when that happens.

So if there's more.. bring it on!

>>I did this briefly, with an NPC dockworker on the North Docks before Shadows began. He had 5 or so rumors you could ask about. Then because of Shadows, I never got around to updating him like I wanted to on atleast a quarterly basis, so I moved him away for now. I intend to revisit this, and a few other options in the coming months. Rumor mills are fun!

can we help? something like 'share rumor with dockworker', and then 'ask dockworker about rumor' gives one of the random responses.

Heh, I elaborated my own thoughts on this idea a wee bit more, just for fun, here:

Also, I fully intend to offer some feedback and thanks here... just waiting to story-vacay and ruminate a bit more before I do my sprawling megapost. :3

Meanwhile... HOLY CRAP, WE SURVIVED.

* What were some things you liked most about Chapter 4: Demon Rising, of the Cross into Shadows storyline, and why?

Sometimes it is fun to sit back and watch others role play. There were four characters I found unique in Demon’s Rising, of CIS.

One night outside of the Brass Tower many adventurers were attempting to take Grishom Stone to task incessantly about his past misdeeds and future intentions. Grishom was initially quiet and the same adventurers took this at him being at a loss for words and started to press him. It was at this moment that Stone turned the tables on the same adventurers and in turn masterfully took each one to task concerning their own mistakes and misteps. I never have seen a group that large be so quiet and listen.. My old eyes could actually follow all the conversation because Grishom was doing most of the speaking. This was telling for two reasons

First it shows how engaged Kenstrom is with the players and in tune with what they are doing across over a considerable length of time.

Second it shows that Kenstrom is a ambushing rogue at heart. It was masterful they way he pretended to be weak and at a loss for words drawing more aggression from many of the adventurers there and then quickly ambushed many of those same adventurer’s with their own past and misdeeds

My complments to Kenstrom on how he wields Grishom Stone. It is a pleasure to watch.

Another interesting character to watch is Nysina, Commander of the Shades of the Rose of the Nalfein. Her quiet confident demeanor is telling. I remember her first visit to the orphanage sent many in the town into a panic. Her disarming charm and calm manner while sitting on the children’s swing in the orphanage certainly contradicts what one might expect from a assassin of House Nalfein, but for me it implied that she was someone so skilled and deadly she did not have to put on airs.

Seyvnne was also interesting character. All at once fascinating and frightening. She seems to have an aura about her gives the feeling that you want to look away from her but then cannot resist looking back. I am kinda glad she is gone, as she was scary, very scary. 

My compliments to Xayle and how she weaves life into her characters.

Finally Aralyte the Blade of the Faendryl was every bit the aloof dark elf without being over the top which I found to be a refreshing and different approach. My compliments to Haliste.

* What were some things you disliked about Chapter 4: Demon Rising, of the Cross into Shadows storyline, and why?

My impression is the bumps in the road are addressed and that is about all you can ask for. My only complaint would be to suggest that the NPCs use highlighted speech so that my old eyes can navigate easier through the ocean of words.

* What were some things you liked about the entire storyline, Cross into Shadows, and why?

The numerous enviroments that were created for the storyline and the intricate detail woven in them really stands out. Two of my favorites were Wyrdeep Forest and Shadowguard. Briskers Cove is another. So many wonderful new places. 

* What were some things you disliked about the entire storyline, Cross into Shadows, and why?

Again, my impression is the bumps in the road are addressed and that is about all you can ask for. My only complaint would be to suggest that the NPCs use highlighted speech so that my old eyes can navigate easier through the ocean of words.

* What were some memorable moments from Cross into Shadows for you, as a player, and then also your character?

The Cosima abduction was the most memorable, certainly the most controversial, and the most polarizing event that I as a player have ever been involved with in Gemstone. I will leave it there.

* Has your character grown from the experiences of the storyline? If you don't mind sharing, then how so?

Wolfloner’s experiences during the Taladorian Festival certainly shaped his dim view of the Taladorian ruling council and Lord Thermon. His view was further confirmed by the way that Talador waged war against the Landing, and its alliance with Raznel. In the end his suspicions where Talador was concerned were not only confirmed but turned out to be even more nefarious than he initially suspected.

When faced with the threat of the landing being overwhelmed by the Taladorian invading army and the terms for a peaceful resolution being extremely remote the decision to align the Dae’randir with the Brotherhood of Rooks against the invasion of Talador was born.

* Did the storyline keep you engaged, and logged into the game more than you might normally?

It did that. I fell asleep at the keyboard at times. 

* Will you continue to stay involved in the game, and ongoing events, even after the storyline? If so, what are things that keep you interested?

I will. I am curious what consequences will occur.

* Do you prefer smaller storylines (3-6 months) or longer storylines (6-12+ months)?

I think both have their place.

* What times of day/evening are you able to be in-game more easily than others? (This is a nice way for me to help keep track of peoples schedules, and maybe plot future storylines across different windows of time)

It's complicated, but I could send you a schedule if you like. :)
