Those final moments - spent with friends (Walkar's Passing) 01/12/2015 04:04 AM CST
(We were just finishing speaking to Sir Thadston who set the meeting at Moot Hall on Tilamaries (Tuesday)

*

Walkar's voice howls in the distance, and amid the echoing sound of axe chops, a tree falls in the woods.

...and yes, it makes a sound.

Cryheart says, "Let's go aid Walkar."

(Hapenlok happened to locate him not too far away.)

You follow Cryheart as he steps through the shifting portal.
[Lower Dragonsclaw, Wooded Hills]
The ground shifts from flat forest to jagged hillside, the trees thinning out as the ground gets rougher and rockier. The oaks disappear farther up the slope, leaving the modwirs to dominate the hill. You also see a shifting portal and a blue-eyed charcoal cat.
Also here: Dergoatean, Kasgar, Cruxophim, Rowmi, Walkar
Obvious paths: east, up

A tree falls near the Wooded Hills.

You see Walkar Wellington.
He appears to be a Human.
He is tall and appears to be mature. He has tired clover green eyes and pale skin. He has straight, shoulder-length strawberry blonde hair. He has a muscular face, a small nose and a trimmed strawberry blonde beard and numerous scratches and claw marks along his neck. A bright crimson glow emanates from his crimson breastplate, and black wisps churn within it, like coiling ribbons of shadow.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing some reinforced black leather pants, a wide black belt, a glowing dark crimson breastplate, some old black gauntlets, a stained axe harness, a pair of black bloodstained boots, and a dark brown oilskin jacket.

Walkar weakly says, "Hello....everyone."

Walkar weakly asks, "Come...to cut trees with me?"
=
Walkar grins.
=
Walkar breaks out in a sweat.

Praytus softly says, "Aye."

Cryheart nods at Walkar.

Speaking to Walkar, Turinrond says, "Good evening. Nice to see you.. all things considered."

Walkar nods at Turinrond.

Rozy exclaims, "Am here to cheers the tree cutterdowners on!"

Lylia dryly says, "I came to lend moral support."

Walkar weakly says, "Cross is dead...."

Walkar weakly says, "Althedeus is gone..."

Turinrond says, "Aye, Madelyne gutted him good."

Neovik nods at Walkar.

Rtune nods at Walkar.

Speaking to Walkar, Puptilian says, "We made sure of it."

Speaking slowly to Walkar, Cruxophim murmurs, "Well...."

Walkar weakly asks, "It should be a happy time, hmm?"

Ephya peers quizzically at Walkar.

Speaking to Walkar, Sarvia says, "It's not entirely happy yet. There's one more thing left to do."

Walkar tries to pull Kiske towards him.

Walkar kisses Kiske.

Kiske kisses Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "We survived..."

Walkar weakly says, "Well...Wehnimer's...survived."

Walkar nods.

Cruxophim whispers to the group, "I dun see any trees."

Walkar weakly says, "Please...join me."

(Everyone does.)

Walkar weakly says, "We'll go find some more trees."

Walkar just limped east, with his group following closely behind him.
[Lower Dragonsclaw, Forest]
The moss grows like a blanket up the trunks of the oak and modwir trees here. The large trees stand, indifferent to the encroachment of the harmless fungus.

Evia agrees with Walkar.

Walkar glances at a large blue canvas tent bearing the crest of a blue phoenix on a field of silver.

Walkar snickers.

Walkar removes a well-balanced imflass moon axe from in his axe harness.

Walkar weakly asks, "No?"

Walkar weakly says, "Okay."

Ephya says, "I picked up a couple spare axes if anyone needs one."

Walkar frowns.

Speaking to Walkar, Kiske says, "They were helpful."

(Lylia eyes Walkar's breastplate.)

Walkar weakly says, "Cross was helpful once too."

Fyonn uneasily says, "We've been at war for the last year. No need to start another one."

Speaking to Walkar, Kiske says, "If they start wearing too much red, i'll set them on fire."

Walkar just limped northeast, with his group following closely behind him.
[Lower Dragonsclaw, Forest]
You release the scents of the various herbs growing on the forest floor with your steps. They mingle with the breeze that courses through the trees to create an ever-changing, but always pleasant, aroma. You also see a wrinkled truffle, a highland jaguar, a large blue canvas tent bearing the crest of a blue phoenix on a field of silver and a large blue canvas tent bearing the crest of a blue phoenix on a field of silver.

Walkar hacks away at a tree with his axe for a while.

Walkar weakly says, "I just...want to help rebuild...what I did so much to destroy."

Walkar breaks out in a sweat.

(People join in on the tree chopping.)

Cryheart says, "We dinnae blame ye...twas taht armor and Cross."

Walkar grins at Cryheart.

Speaking firmly to Walkar, Lylia says, "Regardless of anything else you have done, I do not believe the town would stand today if it were not for you."

Kiske gives Rtune a friendly hug.

Speaking to Walkar, you say, "This feels th' opposite of when we met in th' village. I hope Rtune is right." (This requires some explanation. The village is when he went abomination after we tried to stop him. Rtune responds for the rest.)

Walkar weakly asks, "Right about what?"

Walkar peers quizzically at Rtune.

Riend's group just arrived.

Walkar grins at Riend.

Walkar leans on Kiske.

Rtune says, "That we can still keep yew here."

Walkar peers quizzically at you.

Walkar weakly asks, "What do you hope Rtune is right about?"

Rtune says, "That yew can stay here with us."

Speaking to Walkar, you say, "He believes our hope, prayers, and belief will find a way to sustain you beyond th' armor. Cross is dead, yet...you still survive."

You nod at Walkar.

Walkar grins at you.

Walkar weakly says, "Perhaps not."

Walkar breaks out in a sweat.

Walkar hacks away at a tree with his axe for a while.

Speaking softly to Kkian, Allaena says, "Yes."

Walkar leans on Kiske.

Walkar weakly says, "Put your hip into it."

Kiske manages a sad-eyed grin.

Walkar nods at Kiske.

Walkar points at a bunch of trees.

Speaking to Walkar, Turinrond says, "You just want to see her move her hips."

Turinrond grins wryly.

Kiske says, "I have nothing that cuts."

Speaking amusedly to Walkar, Roblar says, "Get behind her an show yer da swing."

Lylia snickers.

Walkar begins chuckling at Roblar!

Speaking to Kiske, Dergoatean asks, "Except for your wit?"

Speaking to Dergoatean, Kiske says, "Nonsense..i'm a pushover."

A flash of crimson light ripples across Walkar's armor and he swings hard at a tree!

Speaking to Walkar, Jook says, "Cheater."

Light begins to glimmer from Fealoke's dusk-hued vambraces, the various gems set into the inky metal twinkling and sparking like stars in the night sky. The gems grow dimmer, the final few remaining outlining a constellation, before winking out.

Speaking quietly to Walkar, Crime says, "I believe calling Timber!!! would be appropriate."

Kaedra hacks away at a tree with her handaxe for a while.
Suddenly, one of the trees comes crashing down!

A flash of crimson light ripples across Walkar's armor and he swings hard at a tree! and again...and again, and again!
Walkar hacks away at a tree with his axe for a while.

Crime yells, "Timbir!!!"

Speaking to Walkar, Dergoatean says, "Save some strength, man."

Walkar breaks out in a sweat.

Goldtree frowns at Walkar.

Kiske blinks at Walkar.

Walkar nods.

Evia is admiring Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "Riend...."

Walkar glances at Riend.

Raelee paces back and forth.

Speaking monotonously to Walkar, Yangh says, "Keep going like that and it'll likely kill you."

Speaking deeply to Walkar, Roblar warns, "Going to drain da armor's life keepin power."

Speaking cautiously to Walkar, Riend asks, "Yes?"

Walkar weakly says, "I'm sorry for sending you off after Grishom, and endagering you for my vendetta."

Roblar hacks away at a tree with his axe for a while.
Suddenly, one of the trees comes crashing down!

Riend slowly empties her lungs.

Kiske glances between Walkar and Riend.

Lylia says, "Even Grishom Stone was made to do some good, whether he intended it or not."

Walkar weakly says, "I'm sorry for almost surrendering you to imperial mages."

Walkar nods at Sarvia.

Rowmi says, "Grishom Stone allowed this moment."

Speaking resignedly to Walkar, Riend says, "It was as much your doing as my own, there is nothing to forgive."

Walkar weakly says, "When all you had been was a friend."

Sarvia glances at Walkar and slowly exhales.

Kiske glances at Sarvia.

Walkar grins at Sarvia.

Raelee squints at Walkar.

Speaking to Walkar, Sarvia says, "Whatever happened between us, we were always friends. It's forgiven."

Walkar weakly says, "If you squinted less Raelee, you'd see more of the truth around you."

Walkar nods at Sarvia.

Speaking lightly to Walkar, Cruxophim says, "Woss done is done. No sense in living in the past, is already gone."

Sarvia kisses Walkar on the cheek.

Walkar weakly asks, "Did I throw you through a window?"

Walkar peers quizzically at Cruxophim.

Speaking to Walkar, Raelee asks, "And which truth am I missing this time?"

Cruxophim peers quizzically at Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "If I didn't, I thought about it a hundred times."

Walkar weakly says, "So I'm sorry."

Speaking confusedly to Walkar, Cruxophim murmurs, "Maybe..."

Rtune giggles at Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "Your darkness was no different than mine."

Speaking to Walkar, Phever says, "You're not alone in that."

Speaking to Walkar, Hapenlok says, "You did bury your axe in my stomach quite a bit at one point. i think i'm past that now."

Rtune says, "If we has to apologize for wut thinx me will be here awhiles."

Walkar nods at Hapenlok.

Speaking to Walkar, Hapenlok says, "I have voices in my head again anyway."

Walkar weakly says, "Bristenn...we never agreed, but it was more me, and less shadows, when I broke a pylon with your head."

Walkar weakly says, "So I'm sorry."

Speaking simply to Walkar, Bristenn mentions, "I got better."

Speaking to Walkar, Kiske says, "Again..you aren't the only one there."

Lylia sweetly says, "And he has such a very hard head that it hardly put a dent in it, clearly."

Walkar looks through the crowd, mostly towards the ground.

Walkar weakly asks, "Is Maags here?"

Evia shivers suddenly, her eyes glazing over briefly.

Riend blinks in surprise as though just becoming aware of Bristenn's presence.

Rtune looks over at Walkar and shakes his head.

Speaking blithely to Walkar, Cruxophim states, "You smashed a chimera with a bucket. All is forgiven, in my book."

Speaking to Walkar, Hapenlok says, "I was very fond of that pylon, i'll have you know."

Radeek mutters, "Ugliest pylon we has."

Bristenn folds his hands behind his back.

Walkar begins chuckling at Cruxophim!

Cruxophim nods slowly at Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "I also smashed a Clunk with a bucket."

Walkar weakly says, "So...sorry."

Clunk grumbles.

Cruxophim glances at Clunk.

Walkar nods at Clunk.

Rtune says, "Me can relay a message to maags ifn wants."

Speaking to Walkar, you say, "Sir Thadston came to th' North Gate for a bit."

Speaking raspily to Clunk, Tyaht asks, "You got taken down by a bucket?"

Rtune nods at Walkar.

Clunk mutters under his breath.

Walkar peers quizzically at you.

Radeek says, "Da bucket kicked Clunk."

Walkar weakly asks, "The Hendoran lad?"

Bekke nods at Walkar.

Speaking deeply to Walkar, Clunk says, "Tiz ok, in end, bucket lost."

Speaking to Walkar, you ask, "Folks fill you in on th' shadowy realm with Pup, th' Reach mission, and how everyone responded to defend th' city?"

Walkar weakly says, "Some of it..."

Walkar weakly says, "Much of it was a blur."

Cryheart says, "I can imagine."

Walkar weakly says, "I remember jumping onto an airship...somehow."

Lylia says, "I believe it was for most of us."

Walkar weakly says, "And the pain and joy of those mein shards tearing into me."

Cruxophim nods sympathetically at Walkar.

Speaking wistfully to Walkar, Cruxophim murmurs, "Hurting helps us remember that we're alive."

Walkar weakly says, "But...yes, please tell Maags, I'm sorry for hanging her."

Rtune nods at Walkar.

Speaking wonderingly to Walkar, Cruxophim murmurs, "You hung Maags?"

Kasgar asks, "That wasn't quite a while ago, innit?"

Puptilian says, "Not that long ago really."

Speaking to Cruxophim, Kiske says, "Yes, there were a few of us that time."

Walkar weakly says, "Yes....I'm sorry for all of the executions....except the Ta'Mori."

Walkar chuckles.

(Folks share a laugh on this one.)

Speaking wryly to Walkar, Svantai says, "Well, you're more than welcome to execute more of them."

Walkar weakly says, "You don't count..."

Walkar nods at Anru.

Walkar weakly asks, "I...I didn't make Ewin leave, did I?"

Walkar peers quizzically at Kiske.

Speaking to Walkar, Dergoatean says, "I must depart. Before I do... Thank you for your dedication to this town, and to us. It got us in some trouble, but also got us out. Best wishes to you, wherever you spirit may travel."

Walkar nods.

Walkar weakly says, "Good."

Speaking casually to Bellaja, Riend remarks, "I always thought of him as the best of the Ta'Mori."

Walkar gives Dergoatean a friendly hug.

Speaking to Walkar, Kiske says, "No, he left for reasons of his own."

Regwen hacks away at a tree with her handaxe for a while.
Suddenly, one of the trees comes crashing down!

Walkar weakly says, "Thank you."

Walkar hacks away at a tree with his axe for a while.

Walkar breaks out in a sweat.

Walkar weakly says, "We'll never run out of foes."

You rub your crystal blue eyes in an effort to refresh them.

Walkar weakly says, "...or trees apparently."

Speaking squeakily to Walkar, Taverkin exclaims, "Or friends!"

Taverkin hiccups!

Walkar's hands begin to tremble, as he swings at a tree.

Glyhne glances at Walkar.

Speaking to Walkar, Glyhne says, "We got this. Might need some rest."

Speaking to Walkar, Tservin says, "We're with you."

Walkar nods.

Walkar weakly says, "Just...going to lean for a second."

Walkar weakly says, "On you..."

Walkar leans on his axe.

Speaking to Walkar, Hapenlok asks, "We can go forward from here, Wellington....why don't you rest?"

Walkar weakly says, "...and you..."

Walkar leans on Kiske.

Selema looks at Walkar with concern.

Speaking to Walkar, Puptilian says, "No hard feelings from me. All things we have gone through over the last several years I forgive any bad that came between us."

Walkar nods at Puptilian.

Walkar weakly says, "Good...don't stop...informing."

Walkar nods at Puptilian.

Walkar weakly says, "They will always need it."

Walkar weakly says, "Truth is as much a powerful weapon towards victory than blade or spell."

Walkar nods at Puptilian.

Kiske leans on Walkar.

Clunk deeply says, "Som'n get the logs for tower and buildin."

Speaking to Walkar, Puptilian says, "I've talked on Stone. I've talked on the Lich and Cross. Maybe I'll take a night and talk of your time here."

Walkar grins at Puptilian.

Walkar weakly says, "Just...Pup...make it truth."

Walkar weakly says, "Don't embellish for my sake. Let all of my actions known."

Walkar wobbles, looking a bit faint.

Kiske tries to pull Walkar towards her.

Walkar grins at Kiske.

Clunk bows to Walkar.

(Kiske puts an arm around Walkar's waist.)

Walkar smiles at Kiske.

Walkar kisses Kiske on the cheek.

Speaking to Walkar, Kiske asks, "You remember? What I told you?"

Speaking briskly to Walkar, Bristenn states, "Wellington, sentimentality aside, I do have something for you before you go, however."

Walkar weakly says, "You've told me lots...of things."

Walkar nods at Kiske.

Walkar weakly says, "Like....kiss me Walkar....and..lower Walkar..."

Walkar chuckles.

Walkar ducks his head.

Kiske rolls her eyes at Walkar.

Bristenn blinks.

Walkar grins at Bristenn.

Phever bursts out in a sudden snort of laughter.

Sareyna gasps.

Walkar nods at Bristenn.

Walkar weakly asks, "What is it, Sir?"

Bristenn dubiously reasons, ".. not exactly what I had in mind."

Bristenn walks towards Walkar.

Speaking to Walkar, Bristenn adds, "But, these."

Bristenn just handed Walkar some coins.

Tservin says, "I didn't know Walkar was funny."

Bristenn whispers something to Walkar.

Bristenn nods firmly at Walkar.

Speaking awkwardly to Walkar, Fyonn says, "I didn't know you as long or as well as others then. But I wish I had met you before all this happened."

Walkar and Bristenn shake hands.

Raelee squints at Bristenn.

Walkar bows to Bristenn.

Bristenn and Walkar shake hands.

Bristenn bows to Walkar.

Speaking quietly to Bristenn, Raelee asks, "... what was that?"

Bekke says, "I remember breaking him out of prison years ago."

Rowmi just arrived.

Walkar grins at Rowmi.

You peer quizzically at Walkar.

Bristenn takes a few steps back.

Walkar weakly says, "You've seen my past now."

Walkar nods at Rowmi.

Rowmi cocks his head at Walkar.

Walkar weakly asks, "Eerily similiar, isn't it?"

Walkar peers quizzically at Rowmi.

Speaking tiredly to Raelee, Bristenn clarifies, "Parting gift and that."

Walkar weakly asks, "You saw where power and evil took me, right?"

Walkar peers quizzically at Rowmi.

Speaking to Walkar, you speculate, "If you believe as we do. Cross is dead. Th' armor kept you alive at that moment, but your spirit must be able to endure removing th' armor and remaining...alive, with us."

Walkar weakly says, "Cross is dead, but Grishom still lives."

Walkar weakly says, "Don't...be.... a fool."

Speaking to Walkar, Puptilian says, "For now."

Walkar nods at Rowmi.

Walkar weakly says, "Whatever he does for you, is only for him."

Rowmi slowly empties his lungs.

Speaking to Walkar, Rowmi says, "I never served Grishom. I served myself. And my goal was my home. I worked to save us."

Speaking to Walkar, Evia says, "I have something for you too."

Walkar weakly says, "I served myself too."

Walkar nods at Rowmi.

Walkar indicates a glowing dark crimson breastplate as a possible option.

Walkar peers quizzically at Evia.

Walkar weakly asks, "What is it, Evia?"

Speaking to Walkar, Rowmi says, "I worked to bring you back. I worked to learn to defend."

Speaking to Walkar, Evia says, "A small token of fond memories and esteem."

Evia removes a variegated crimson flame rose from in her fur-trimmed cloak.

Speaking to Walkar, Rowmi says, "I regret nothing. If Stone threatens us I will fight him as hard as I fought you."

Evia offers Walkar a variegated crimson flame rose.

Walkar accepts Evia's crimson flame rose.

Walkar nods at Rowmi.

Walkar puts on a variegated crimson flame rose.

Walkar gives Evia a friendly hug.

Walkar weakly says, "Fitting."

Walkar grins.

Rtune stares at Walkar.

Walkar weakly asks, "Sir...you trust the orc?"

Walkar peers quizzically at Cryheart.

Cryheart says, "For now."

Cryheart nods at Walkar.

Walkar nods.

Cryheart says, "He has demonstrated the willingness to help defend the town."

Walkar weakly says, "He's a good man....beneath it."

Cryheart nods at Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "Not like Deylan. Deylan eyed the ends, not the means."

Durakar hacks away at a tree with his handaxe for a while.
Suddenly, one of the trees comes crashing down!

Cryheart nods at Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "The orc...he is not...not like that."

Cryheart says, "I do trust Thrayzar."

Walkar weakly says, "Tend to Khylon, the witch's curse still burns through his blood."

Cryheart nods at Walkar.

Walkar suddenly stumbles for no apparent reason.

Walkar weakly asks, "Now..what...what did you tell me?"

Walkar peers quizzically at Kiske.

Rtune says, "Me will not give up for yews."

Kiske blushes a glowing shade of red.

Qistra agrees with Rtune.

Kiske slowly empties her lungs.

Walkar peers quizzically at Kiske.

Speaking quietly to Walkar, Kiske says, "That you are a good man and that I love you."

Walkar grins at Kiske.

alkar weakly says, "And I, love you."

Walkar weakly says, "We will agree to disagree on the good man."

Walkar chuckles.

Kiske smiles at Walkar.

Walkar hacks away at a tree with his axe for a while.

Bekke says, "Quick. Get a cleric. Someone marry them."

(Lylia tactfully turns away and takes a sudden interest in some foliage so as not to intrude on what's clearly a private moment.)

Kiske's eyes well with tears as her lower lip quivers.

Walkar weakly says, "I've rested enough. This town needs rebuilt, and healed. If I die tomorrow or in a year, I'll spend it doing just that."

Cryheart nods at Walkar.

Walkar stares off into space.

Walkar weakly says, "The orc is acting mayor. I'm sure he'll call for elections in time."

Walkar takes a swing, a red light glowing in his armor, more dim than before.

The glow of Walkar's armor begins to fade, almost completely, slowing turning to a dull crimson hue.

Speaking quietly to Walkar, Goldtree says, "Good luck to you...in whatever comes."

Rowmi looks thoughtfully at Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "I can't spend time...resting...."

Blood seeps out of Walkar's nose, a small bead rolling down his lips.

Speaking quietly to Walkar, Rowmi says, "The magic keeping you together has faded..."

Walkar nods at Rowmi.

Walkar weakly says, "I used...a lot..last eve."

Rtune says, "Walkar - there has to be a way for stave this offs."

Speaking regretfully to Walkar, Rowmi says, "At any rate, you can meet your end as you wish.."

Walkar whispers something to Kiske.

Kiske leans on Walkar.

Lylia says, "Everyone deserves to end in his own fashion."

Speaking to Walkar, Sarvia says, "The One guide your journey home."

Speaking to Walkar, you ask, "What are your thoughts?"

Walkar weakly asks, "My thoughts?"

Ichiko hangs her head.

Walkar weakly says, "I'm...tired.....and I have many regrets."

Walkar weakly says, "I'm afraid...to be honest."

Walkar weakly says, "I wanted to do more..."

Rtune exclaims, "So stay and do!"

Walkar weakly says, "I spent so much time...tearing down the city I was....trying to build."

Speaking firmly to Walkar, Rowmi says, "We all make mistakes. You swam your river as you could."

Walkar weakly says, "Take care of Winston...."

Speaking to Walkar, Neovik says, "There is no reason to have any regrets... what is done is done. You've done everything you could do."

Walkar nods at Kiske.

Kiske nods at Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "I can't see him tonight."

Speaking to Walkar, Kiske says, "Always."

Speaking ruefully to Walkar, Rowmi says, "Despite your mistakes, your town has grown and thrived. We came together to defeat your enemy."

Walkar weakly says, "I can't...let him see me...crumble..."

Walkar nods at Kiske.

Walkar agrees with Rowmi.

You frown at Walkar.

Walkar weakly says, "I saw....unity last eve."

Walkar weakly says, "...the shadows had no chance...."

Speaking firmly to Walkar, Rowmi says, "Strength in Unity."

Evia gazes up into the heavens.

Walkar weakly asks, "Just don't lose it, please?"

Jeril nods at Walkar.

Cryheart says, "Amen."

Walkar raspily says, "It...it shouldn't require...."

Walkar raspily says, "Such blood...and chaos...for unity..."

Walkar goes to take another swing at a tree, almost snarling...

Walkar drops a well-balanced imflass moon axe.

Walkar kneels down.

Sareyna hugs Walkar.

Rowmi offers Walkar a well-balanced imflass moon axe.

Speaking knowingly to Walkar, Cruxophim consoles, "We'll keep chopping."

Walkar tries to accept Rowmi's axe, but his hands tremble.

Kiske touches Walkar.

Walkar raspily says, "I'm sorry, for the war and bl..."

Walkar raspily says, "Blood."

Walkar raspily says, "I'm sorry for Tommy..."

Walkar nods at Ephya.

Walkar raspily says, "And all of the rest...."

Ephya sobs.

Cryheart says, "Apologies accepted, Walkar."

Speaking sadly to Walkar, Rowmi says, "Thank you for trying. Sorry for misunderstanding until it was too late."

Roblar walks towards Walkar.

The crimson light of Walkar's armor finally fades to black, dull and lifeless.

Walkar slowly empties his lungs.

Walkar raspily says, "It's cold now it..."

Kiske hugs Walkar.

Walkar glances down at his armor.
Roblar glances at Kaedra.

Roblar tilts his head up.

Walkar raspily says, "Kiske..."

Cryheart says, "Ye hae are a warrior."

Kiske kisses Walkar.

Walkar raspily asks, "Will you help....remove this please?"

Rtune says, "Rage against it - yew does not have to acquiesce to this."

Speaking darkly to Walkar, Wolfloner says, "Fare well."

Walkar raspily says, "Finally."

Kiske nods at Walkar.

Aurla softly says, "Lorminstra will guide you."

Roblar gazes up into the heavens.

Speaking to Walkar, Kiske says, "I will."

Rtune exclaims, "Fite!"

You see Walkar Wellington.
He appears to be a Human.
He is tall and appears to be mature. He has tired clover green eyes and pale skin. He has straight, shoulder-length strawberry blonde hair. He has a muscular face, a small nose and a trimmed strawberry blonde beard and numerous scratches and claw marks along his neck. clear
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a variegated crimson flame rose, some reinforced black leather pants, a pale blue samite shirt, a dull black breastplate, some old black gauntlets, a stained axe harness, some padded black leather boots, and a dark brown oilskin jacket.

Speaking to Rtune, Lylia murmurs, "I do not think he wishes to."

Speaking to Rtune, Puptilian says, "Let him rest finally."

Speaking to Walkar, Turinrond says, "Peace and rest to you, Mayor Walkar."

Rtune exclaims, "Me doesnt care!"

Speaking to Rtune, Sarvia says, "But he does, and that's what matters."

(Raelee drifts away to the edge of the crowd with a tightly clenched jaw.)

Walkar glances at Kiske.

Walkar raspily asks, "...please?"

Kiske tries to pull Walkar towards her.

Rtune stares at Walkar.

Speaking to Walkar, Kiske says, "Of course."

Walkar raspily says, "One...buckle...at a time...slowly please...on the sides..."

Walkar raspily says, "Incase it hurts...oh, why am I concerned...."

You growl at Walkar, "We believe you should survive. That should be enough for Lorminstra to grant your respite!"

Rtune says, "Me will not accept this."

Rtune shakes his head.

As Kiske removes Walkar's armor slowly, it peels off of his torso with a loud, squishy sound. Ribbons of blood and flesh snap off of it, recoiling into Walkar's stomach. The black breastplate crumbles in Kiske's hands.

Speaking to Walkar, Kaedra says, "We will pray for you, rest in peace Walkar Wellington."

Walkar's chest and abdomen have been reduced to a slender husk of pallid white flesh, rotting away on the sides to reveal a series of black, shadowy ribbons almost lacing together his skin. The front of his stomach is an open cavity, a morbid window into a cavern of blood and sinew. Warped, fragmented bones barely function for his chest, acting as a brittle cage over his heart which is gnarled and black.

Svantai disgustedly mutters, "Ew."

Raelee narrows her eyes slightly, studying Walkar with a cool, analytical gaze.

Stormyrain glances away.

Zzentar gags.

Neovik glances at Walkar and cringes.

Walkar begins to twitch.

Walkar raspily says, "...thank you...everyone...."

Walkar trembles as he fights to raise one hand, and for a moment, a brief sliver of eternity, he smiles and raspily says, "....for Wehnimer's."

Walkar falls over.

His chest and abdomen have been reduced to a slender husk of pallid white flesh, rotting away on the sides to reveal a series of black, shadowy ribbons almost lacing together his skin. The front of his stomach is an open cavity, a morbid window into a cavern of blood and sinew. Warped, fragmented bones barely function for his chest, acting as a brittle cage over his heart which is gnarled and black.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a variegated crimson flame rose, some reinforced black leather pants, a pale blue samite shirt, some old black gauntlets, a stained axe harness, some padded black leather boots, and a dark brown oilskin jacket.

(People join in his words and yell with him "...for Wehnimer's!")

Walkar's eyes stop blinking, his lifeless clover green eyes staring up at the night sky as glistening flakes of snow drift to the ground.

(Svantai reaches over and closes Walkar's eyes.)

Cryheart recites:

"Lord Kai, accept this great warrior as he arrives to meet ye"

Speaking sadly to Walkar, Rowmi murmurs, "I am sorry."

Cryheart rubs Kiske.

Kiske stares at Walkar.

Nearby, some townspeople who were chopping logs, and some guards from nearby towers move slowly in. They say nothing, each one taking their cloak off to cover up Walkar's body. Together, they lift him, eyes watering, as they carry him towards town.

This was a wonderful scene, and probably one of my favorite moments of the story finale (and following dénouement).

Looking forward to seeing people telling tales, offering perspectives, and roleplaying out Walkar's legacy in the days to come.
