A question if Kenstrom or anybody else doesn't mind..

are those vathor actually demon or were they shadow based? My demon bane axe didn't work on them at first like it normally does on demons so I'm just asking to see if that was right or not. Not a big deal since they quickly became hittable regardless of last night... :-)
