SNOW IN VORNAVIS! |
A sight familiar to any hardened Hendoran huscarl, the waters of Solhaven Bay turned to ice, the crests of waves caught still like the brushstrokes of a Tamzyrrian fresco! The coast of Vornavis is used to minor cold snaps, but rarely this cold, as the ceiling lowered and snow began to fall over the capitol city of the Barony of Vornavis. |
With little warning, a small undead horde descended into the streets of the Freeport of Solhaven! Initially responding, Sir Bristenn and visiting adventurers from the savage north repelled wave after wave of undead handily until none remained! Vornavis again stands strong, the Swan Guard preparing to muster to join the Phoenix Banner in the fight against the gathering dark armies to settle the fate of the North once and for all. |
Rumor has it that some mercenary brigands of the north, formerly bound to Elithain Cross, the foul villain and mastermind behind the War of the Yawning Shade as it has come to be called in some corners of the Empire (others include An Cogadh Dubh amongst the Dragach clansmen, the War of the Breaking Coast, and in seedier circles the Gentryfall), were spotted outside of Solhaven where they were unwittingly and painfully affected by dark forces. Whatever was birthed from their due suffering however was quickly dispatched by with no small amount of irony other mercenaries of the north. |
Rumor also has it that what brought on this attack was a gathering of those same frontiersmen in the Temple to the Godking to pray at the Altar of Crowns. Why exactly remains unseen, and some apparently did not make it out alive, though no regular clergy of the temple were available for comment on the ruckus. |
and le ooc summary: commune went awry-ish, the SHADOWS! interceded and began taunting the adventurers. The adventurers flung barbs right back. The SHADOWS! decided to teach them a lesson, which included hypnogerms, strangely sharp arrowheads and whole bunch of moulis. The Bay froze over, it snowed, aaaand undead attacked (and were beaten to hell).
Bam summary.
