scrolls/merchant item question 06/24/2022 07:37 AM CDT
Hi, I didn't know where to post this, sorry if this is the wrong arena... I have a question to see if an item exists? Does an item exist that allows for taking specific spells on scrolls to infuse, transfer, or scribe them into 1 item like a book or a blank scroll, I can then invoke the spells from? does an item like this exist?

Thanks!

Yes and no.

.

1) Look up the Chrysogon Codex on GSWiki: you can stuff scrolls into it, and then flip to the page (scroll) that has the spell that you want. You would Infuse the scroll FIRST.

Note that with the ability to "rummage" for a specific spell in a container, using the physical prop just gives you one additional step of interaction (get codex from <container> / put codex in <container>) every time you want to cast a spell from it.

.

2) There is a way to take spells from one scroll, and add them to another scroll. Look up the "scroll-combining book" on GSWiki. Expect to pay A LOT MORE for this--as I believe that there are only one, maybe two, that exist--than for the Chrysogon above.

.

3) Get yourself one (or more) of the Sigil Staff at Duskruin, unlock it/them up to Tier2 (able to store spells), and then expand that tier out to the full six (6) possible slots.

Now you can put your Defensive spells onto your "stick" (which you only pull out when you're on a Node, doing your buffing), and your Offensive spells on your "crozier" (which you normally hold in-hand while in combat, and has ALL the bells & whistles on it). You will again want to do all of your Infusing FIRST (to the scroll), before you move any of them over to the Sigil Staff.
I believe I mathed it out as 36k bloodscrip to get a six-spell Tier2, with one of the inexpensive base items off the shelf.

I have not yet taken the step of actually doing this--I had other goals for this past February's run--but it is one that I am looking at with intent.
