Just made a new wizard - Level 1 currently.

1,101/50,000 Essence (weekly)

should I be able to gather essence prior to obtaining the enchant skill? my understanding was knowledge of 925 was required to begin gathering.

No, it shouldn't show if you're not eligible and should be fixed.
