Asking the pros: Mage Armor/520 08/25/2020 09:56 AM CDT
I was excited about this in Spellbound... up to the point where I read what I think makes it less spicy.

Is it correct that the 'Fire' aspect works ONLY for weapon swings (archery shots, and so on) and/or bolt/ball spell attacks? (Anything with an "AS/DS" calculation, and possibly UAC but I can't make that out from the GSWiki article.)
Signally: NOT with CS/warding attacks?

Non wizards get 2 Cer padding.

Completely uninterested in the padding. I was looking for flare adding, but it reads as though that is AS/DS only, never on CS/TD.

Sorry Krakii what I meant to say is that is the entire spell benefit for a non wizard.

From the wiki-Non-native casters can only achieve light critical padding (2 points) with this spell, and elemental aspects are not available to non-native casters.

Still worth answering the original question, I’ve never seen it flare when my wizard casts 502 or 917.

Ah! That is an excellent clarification, thanks!

And you just saved me 20k bloodscrip! :)

It works with CS spells too. It flares all the time for me on 502, 516, etc.

The only thing that sucks about it is it's ALWAYS fire. So if you're hunting fire immune stuff, this spell will just heal them when it flares.

WTB choosing our 520 flare element.

Sadly, I was told that the effect I was looking for is Mage-only. :(
