It feels like the bolt version of 611 is really under-powered for its mana cost. It looks like a copy of we bolt from 118, but costs 2 extra mana. I can't see how it would be used to hunt with. Have any casting rangers tried? I'm wondering if the nature resist de-buff from 603 can significantly increase its damage?

I think the big advantage 611 evoked over 118 has is the flares that synergize with 609. The combo is really nice! 611 keeps them stunned again and again and 609 does decent damage.
The problem is that the total mana and TP cost for doing all of that is too high to make it really attractive, particularly since spell aiming is so TP intensive. 611 needs a mana return/extra debuff to make bolt AS work, or a speed effect for faster casting or something. I hope it gets there though, because the 611/609 combo is fun to play with.

I must amend my previous statement. It appears 611 also gets a very good benefit from 603. By my calculations it looks like a DF increase of about 0.080. Not sure yet if that applies to all armor groups.
