I just pushed a minor update to assess. If you have an item that has been bardsong unlocked (both temp and perm) with a creature bane, assess will show you the exact weighting provided by the bane.

Careful examination indicates the maul has a base strength of 94 and a base durability of 245. You also determine the current integrity of the maul to be at 100.0%.

Checking out the maul, it looks like it is exceptionally weighted to inflict more critical blows than a normal weapon of its type.

It appears to be decently weighted to inflict more critical blows than a normal weapon of it's type against certain creatures.
