Rogue Guildspeak 03/25/2011 12:37 AM CDT
While we're on the subject of languages...

I always imagined that rogues's guildspeak would be more of a sign language where you "signal" to others instead of speaking. Bystanders would be completely unaware of what you were saying. Perhaps a hidden check, and if you fail it people see you doing something funny?

This mechanic is already present for a certain society which does not exist..

The downside: You couldn't speak rogue while hiding.. as obviously no one could see your hand signals..

Thoughts?

I agree with that, but perhaps it is also sorta like pig latin.

I've always secretly hoped it was straight up cockney rhyming slang.

Tear in a bucket! This guy's a crooked garden tool. If he don't tip better, I'll Raging Thrak his skull and give him a heavenly bliss with my foot right in the ol' Dabbings coin and make sure he don't never have no wet and wild.
