also you can look at the edit history to see if a GM has made a contribution to see if something is official or not

>usually they'll release info like that quite a few months after release. the ones you see listed were figured out by players and are not official.

While they're not official, I can guarantee that unless the GMs have made special edits to how the rewards for bounties are calculated in the Red Forest, the levels for Treekin warriors and druids are 100% correct (80 and 83, respectively).

Once I have time to start hunting my level 62 character a little more, I'll start confirming the others.

A friend of mine had a child task in the forest last night (in Ta'Illistim), the kid followed him out of the forest but he got to a place where you could jump a gap or climb a rope, and the kid wouldn't follow past either one. Sorry if this is a known problem, I didn't feel like reading everything. KTHXBAI

Has anyone mapped this area yet? I'd love to see a map.

And do we have verification of the various creature levels yet, other than the undead?

Thanks,

Yes and Yes. Rozy has mapped it, including creatures and levels. Not sure where to find her map though.

Thanks for the response. If anyone can tell me where that map is, or send it to me, I would love to see it.

The Pixie and Sprite levels aren't right. I get bounties for them both at level 78, so they should be at least 73.

Curious ... why not add the Red Forest map to the GS Wiki?

Anyone can, really.

Also, I don't think that the direbear level is 64. I was getting assigned tasks for them at level 70 with normal bounty settings. They also seem more perceptive than the direwolves...

Map is on the wiki. The levels listed on it arent verified and we know a few are off.

Post your reward for the direwolves bounty?

Late to the party, but I finally got a chance to explore the Red Forest this morning and I absolutely love it. The imagery is incredibly evocative in its eeriness, and there are small touches that really jumped out at me as being utterly fascinating. (The shrike nest was my favorite, but I'll freely admit that I'm biased give my character's AC.)
