I have a warrior that is about level 25 with 80 ranks of armor use training, as I was racing to get her into plate class armor as early as possible. I have a suit of double leather that I'm pretty sure has some level of damage padding, but when she assesses it I get no reading of that padding.

Do you need to get to a certain level or armor skill before warriors can detect padding on armor?

Thanks. I was able to get on last night and I was able to detect the damage padding on my first try.
