Combat Manuevers for TWC 10/27/2012 12:51 PM CDT
Hey all -

I'm a blunt TWC user at level 54, and I was wondering if you all have any advice about which CMs to pick up? So far, I'm definitely going to do:

- Weapon Specialization (morning star)
- Weapon Bonding
- Surge of Strength

There are a few others I'm considering:
- Combat Movement
- Combat Focus
- Combat Mobility
- Parry Mastery
- Headbutt

Are there any other CMs out there that you (particularly if you're TWC) have found useful?

Thanks!

Combat movement is a waste, don't get it. You'll find mobility invaluable. Most people pick up at least 3 ranks of combat focus, some can't get themselves to spend the points on the last two ranks, but I have all five myself and find it well worth it. I have two ranks of parry mastery but that is more so I can better protect people I hunt with or escorts/kids for adventure guild tasks. I'd suggest cunning defense, I have 4 ranks of it and it is one of the cheaper combat maneuvers to train. That is the basics pretty much, after that it is a matter of personal preference I guess. I've picked up two ranks each of charge, hamstring, bullrush, and subdual strike just to defend against them. And four ranks of sunder shield to rid a few annoying creatures of theirs, also useful to help other people but that is more a perk.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize that if you train in something like hamstring, you actually defend better against it. That's good to know.
