A question on runestaffs 11/09/2011 01:30 PM CST

Since the introduction of the flaring runestaff, I've been considering finding a nice one. My question is this. Does the runestaff activate only while spellcasting? Will it work with a wand? With a scroll? Any insight on this would be appreciated.

If you have the runestaff out it should work with the wand, it does with the wand holding runestaves. Not sure about scrolls, but again if you have the runestaff out it should work.

Staff flares definately work with activated items.

Yes, a capped character can definitely hold their ground a lot better than a level 2 druid.
