Did you try reinstalling lich as well? I know I ran into a problem similiar to this and the answer was to delete the login information and reinstall for that character. Your problem seems more pervasive than mine. I know that when I got weird login errors for a character too I also ended with problems like SF Highlights, Scripts, etc missing. (I know export and back them up locally every now and then.)
