Hi All,

Gonna try playing again after a long time off, couple questions:

1. Skills - Am I good or way off with all the new changes? Pure bolt caster, robes, runestaff, etc

2. Whats a good place to hunt? Last time I had a brief stay in the lands I was hunting warcamps I think.

3. Any major changes I should research and learn about? IE: Wizard guild? Society changes etc?

Welcome back! Your training looks perfectly fine. The only minor critism I have is to keep MjE and MnE at level. A lot of the beneficial spells such as 425/430/513 cap at ranks equal to your level so those 2 spell ranks can either be shifted to Wizard circle or distributed elsewhere.

I would do a bit of research on lore's and what they effect. Some people don't do any lores until post cap. Some swear to 1x lores. There is no game breaking difference it just helps certain spells a bit more and is entirely depending on your hunting style and if you end up wanting to do a lot of enchanting (water lore).

For hunting I'd suggest Krags and Mino in the landing. You can hunt that area very easily up until you are able to switch over to the Bowels in your 80's. I would though get a bit more climbing. My rule of thumb for swim/climb is .5x of each to a max of 50 ranks of each at cap.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to definately try krags and mino. I went into a warcamp last night and I'm not nearly up to speed for that stuff right now lol.

One question, when you say keep mje and mne at level, do you mean just drop them to 67? back when I played 68 would have been at level due to the skills you train at level 0 essentially.

At level being 67. While you do get benefits if you train up a level (in this case 68) the spells I mentioned don't benefit. Instead of dropping those to 67 I would just level up to 68 and just not train in them that next level. That way you don't unnecessarily burn a fixskills or migrate 2 spell ranks.

For changes and skills, if you are using all bolts, you may want to look into a couple options. First, 20 fire lore lets you cast Minor Steam, and 20 air lore lets you cast a bolt version of Hand of Tonis, both of which are useful. With appropriate lores, different bolts also add a secondary effect. For instance, Minor Fire can set the target aflame, causing some extra damage, and Lightning can stun them separate. Then also, with fire lore for 513, subsequent bolts will get an AS boost against the same target.

Lastly, a great change is that 518 is Cone of Elements and lets you choose which spell to mass cast now, instead of just lightning.
