Is there anyone who does two katars? Is that doable? I'm kind of assuming warriors the only ones who can pull it off. I imagine it's a fairly TP heavy path, so what would a training path possibly look like?

I would think this would be at least as well suited for a rogue, if not more so. I know several that use TWC with daggers and pick locks, they'd be able to easily afford 2x in brawling if they dropped Picking and Disarm.

Its a rare but not unknown path. I can think of one at or near cap with it that I come across in game from time to time. (who is a halfling, and while I don't know just how critical their extreme AGIDEX is, I wouldn't recommend using a low dex race for the build)

I've had 90 for quite a while. I will go into more detail when I am home tonight and have my old Tsoran sheets available, but I picked my core and then added every MOC I could until I got to 90. All the magic skills were added once at that point, both for some spellburst relief and to make Sunfist powers easily maintainable.
I do plan on going up to the next major MOC threshold at some point, especially with dervish lessening the waste. I just can't find a way to get those points right now that doesn't give up something else I value.
I have yet to see a roundtime greater than 5 seconds for an mstrike. It's possible my AGIDEX is a bit of overkill, or I may be hunting for enhancives when I hit the 5/6 focused thresholds.
I'll gather an action shot or two tonight as well, just for shiggles.

We won't talk about the obvious lack of stopping power demonstrated here, but I have so much fun with it that it's just fine. Also yes cold flares are dumb but my other option (on that weapon) is plasma and I'm lazy and don't want to pay attention to whether the room is going to explode or not.

So this guy is now at level 12. Been pretty fun so far; got a couple vultite katars. They both weigh 3 pounds. I'm swinging them together at 5 seconds and one at 4. Is this an AGIDEX thing? Can I get it down to swinging both of them at 4 seconds?
And I saw the example was using hamstring as a CMAN. Is that a good first choice? I haven't devoted any of my CMAN points yet.

TWC Katars have a Base RT of 4 seconds (3 +((3-2)) so they have a 5 second minimum swing RT. I believe he is referring to this part of that article:

OK, yeah, that makes sense.
Here's what confuses me a little:
You punch with an elegant vultite katar at a grey orc!
AS: +200 vs DS: +70 with AvD: +33 + d100 roll: +41 = +204
... and hit for 52 points of damage!
Damaging strike to chest, several ribs shattered!
A grey orc gazes upward one last time and dies.
Roundtime: 4 sec.
You punch with an elegant vultite katar at a grey orc!
AS: +200 vs DS: +99 with AvD: +33 + d100 roll: +87 = +221
... and hit for 46 points of damage!
Loud crack as the grey orc's sternum breaks!
The grey orc is stunned!
You punch with an elegant vultite katar at a grey orc!
AS: +193 vs DS: +78 with AvD: +33 + d100 roll: +60 = +208
... and hit for 38 points of damage!
Deft swing strikes the grey orc's neck.
Maybe not fatal but it's sure distracting.

What I'm not clear on is why the extra second. Is that natural with two weapon combat, or is the AGIDEX nor high enough, or is it something else?

Are you sure of the weights of the katars you're using? A katar has a base weight of 4 pounds. Have a bard loresing both to verify the weights.
If the off hand one is heavier than 3 pounds and it's really 4, that could be what's causing the extra 1 second if you don't have a 20 STR bonus.
Katar, base weight is 4 pounds (so have yours verified)
Katar base speed is 3
If your Katars are 3 pounds and your STR bonus is at least 5, your RT should (based on the gswiki) be this:
RHBS + (LHBS-2) + Weight Penalty
3 + (3-2) + 0
3 + 1 = 4 seconds
If your Katars are 4 pounds and your STR bonus is less than 20 (we'll say it's 15), your RT should be this:
RHBS + (LHBS-2) + Weight Penalty
3 + (3-2) + max(LeftWeight - 2 - STROffset, 3)
3 + 1 + (4 - 2 - (trunc((STRBonus + 10)/15))
4 + (2 - (trunc((15+10)/15)))
4 + (2 - (trunc(25/15)))
4 + (2 - (trunc(1.67))
4 + (2 - 1)
4 + 1 = 5 seconds

What's your question, exactly?
In the first one, you swung both; in the second, you swung only the first (because the creature died).
I don't typically do the math every time I change weapons, but I routinely see 1s faster swings with my various Two-Weapon characters when they happen to only swing for One-Weapon Combat....

5 seconds is the correct RT for swinging two Katars.
Two Katars have a BASE RT of 4 Seconds (3 + (3-2)).
Anything with 4+ BASE RT will have a 5 Second minimum swing speed that can only be reduced by spells or quickstrikes.
