Re: The things that need to be done before its reasonable to off monk as an option to new players 03/10/2015 09:30 PM CDT
As long as the item is only sanctified they can now be enchanted up to 7x by a wizard since the release of the alchemy made potions for it. And if sanctifying were a more desirable service it would likely be an option at special events as well. It has been offered in the past at least once that I can remember.

<<"Shroud of Deception (1212): "The spell will not affect combat." Laaaaame. Why not have it change racial stat bonuses. It's already a cool, if unimplemented spell. Changing your stat bonuses sounds pretty sick to me. One needs to be careful not to step on Assume Aspect too much, but if 1212 is going to affect combat, this is the way to go I believe. Also, if it changes all the bonuses, it's not a straight add-on like 650, but there will be associated pentalties as well. And hey, why not let it affect encumbrance, too? Getting into areas for small-race only (hunting gremlins, whatever).

Interesting idea. In the past i thought it would be interesting to let this be a camo-like effect. You assume the form of the thing creature(s) you are hunting, then when you attack it is treated like attacking from hiding, lore training could make the illusion more complete and thus effective. This unlocks the training path of picking up more ambushing ranks for the monk to have a more rogue like training plan to compliment normal open UAC/weapon options.

I would be against size-based bonuses being added to this spell because they are physical limitations that cannot be overcome by illusions.

This is a great idea!
