I bought one and inherited the other and I'm stoked to play a cleric but I haven't had one since GSIII. The DE has no society affiliation and the Human is on his 6th step for Voln. From what I know the Human is set up to max CS and the DE is more an all around caster. I don't believe I want to use weapons or brawl with either of them.

Human is converted to Lorminstra and the DE is unconverted at the moment. I'd like them both to be hunters who can raise my own characters but probably won't be full on rescue build clerics. They are on different accounts so I can hunt them together or hunt them with a monk or bard. Either way they should have some muscle with them when they hunt.

I'm a bit lost with the both of them and how to train them so any tips or suggestions based on what I have right now would be appreciated.

Human is fine as is. Keep cleric spells at Level+21 and broaden out the other circles as you level. The only reason for changing that training would be wanting to use the help of higher muscle grouped with them to uphunt in a major way. Pure CS should work fine for modest uphunting in the AG range, but if you want to hunt a level 20 character in a level 50 area with a level 50 group, you really need an AS option. If you wanted to tweak, the place I'd take points from would be harness, but that is a solid pure CS build.

The DE looks like he was designed as a support character whose main purpose is to provide spirit spells to others. If you don't have a stat change available, and want to hunt this character in their own right, I'd respec to a bolter. The human's DEX is horrible and WIS is massive, while the opposite is the case for the DE which makes the human best for pure CS and the DE for bolting.

Pure CS has the advantage of providing the top version of raise already, while other styles will need to get close to level 40 before they do, and you need to take rather more care about avoiding corpses bleeding out and not spirit killing yourself before then.

I don't have a fixstats or the BP's to get one, but they have fixskills on 'em right now with another coming in a month. I'll read up on bolters on the Wiki. I have half a mind to try brawl with the DE.

I think you still qualify for the low level freebies on the DE (level 20) which is why I mentioned the statfix. The 5 freebies might already have been used but if not you could choose to switch the optimisation from cap to get a rather better CS and more TP at level 20.

For bolting, you should have rather less spells (2-2.25x), 320/215/111 is a touch over 2x but its what you'll want at level 20 if you have that many spells. Lore choice is rather less clearcut, depending on which bolt spell you want to power up. Summoning should not be ignored and you'll need 20 ranks of it to use web bolt but after that its summoning for fire spirit and web DF or religion for holy bolt DF or blessing for bolt AS. A small number of ranks of MOC (1 or 2 at level 20 and maybe capping at 3 or 4 eventually) has significant payback in fire spirit (and crystal/metal wand) splashes. AS/MIU should be heavily biassed to MIU at level 20, but with 30-40 ranks of it you'll have enough to get reliable activation of all wands and there's no particular reason for a bolter to concentrate on MIU after that. You shouldn't need huge numbers of wands at level 20, but you'll still probably want to buy more of them than you sell to the pawn.
