Paul Ryan Address Income Inequality 11/20/2011 10:36 AM CST
I've been talking about the growing problem of income inequality for a long time. It's becoming such an obvious issue that Republicans have begun to discuss it too. Paul Ryan (R-WI) released a report about income inequality last week.

As explained by Greg Sargent in The Plum Line, which is a popular blog in the WP, the Ryan report on inequality is not exactly an honest assessment. For example, Ryan stresses that the share of taxes paid by the wealthiest Americans has increased. That's only half true, though, because while their share of taxes has increased, their share of the national income has increased at a faster rate than their share of the taxes, meaning that they pay proportionally less taxes now.
