say i wanted to make a character that throws javelins. would i only need to 2x thrown, or would i need to train in polearms as well?

You wouldn't need polearms, but you'd probably want brawling for after you've thrown that javelin and you're empty-handed.

I used 2 handed polearms exclusively. I did brawling because I was in voln. But I will be leaving voln as soon as my sym of courage sucks up all my favor. But was wondering if I should drop brawling and pick up shields. I don't use shields, but as I approach level 70, is it a good idea to do so for caster attacks or should I keep up brawling in case I get disarmed?
