Item loss mechanics are an antiquated form of item attrition. While there are other forms of droppage in the game, the unique droppage on decay that existed in Platinum is no more. I know we have two schools of thought on this subject, but I cannot think of a single experience where someone walked away from a decay and felt empowered to be a Platinum player due to it. Almost all decays in Platinum were getting replacements, eating up staff time and making the mechanic less and less of a feature of the instance.
Death mechanics now mimic Prime entirely. Death sting was already put in place when we removed droppage on death. If you notice some oddities, please post about them.
I'll also offer a one-time replacement of any items lost on decay that happened in 2018. This offer is only valid on the most recent decay if you had multiple decays this year. This offer expires March 31st.
