Reset decay time in Rift to normal? 06/23/2017 05:55 AM CDT
Can we please reset the decay time in the Rift to the normal decay timer instead of double? Waiting almost half an hour (28 minutes) is insane, esp. now that it is much easier to get to the Cavern of Ages for any rescuer.

I thought the penalty was the same whether you chose to depart or timed out.

The extra time made sense many years ago when it was harder to rescue people in the rift, but many many changes have made rift rescues much easier. I agree that it's time to ditch the double decay timer. Alternatively, we could get rid of some of the quality of life improvements that have made rescues easier instead: symbol of seeking, the ability to ring from the cavern to Icemule, various improvements to clerics and sorcerers that allow easier rescues and animation, and a bunch of other things I'm sure I'm not even thinking about. Let's go with reducing the timer.
