RT Issue with RT in the Rift 07/24/2016 03:26 PM CDT
I've posted on this issue for a few months now but today it was especially annoying (recurring) so I guess it's time for another, hopefully insightful, log of the issue.

The only changes I have made to the log was to remove LNet chatter and to add some commentary along the way to make it somewhat more readable. I didn't omit any actions on my part or my hunting partners part or any messaging received in hopes that something might stand out / help identify the issue. Apologies for the long log but not sure of a better way to illustrate the issue.





My standard ambush attack round time. Nothing to see here.

The forgotten relics' final resting place gives an eerie air to the surrounding areas, as if you could share their unfortunate fate. You also see the fiery red Wizard disk and the Chaqual disk.

A large, decrepit building stands on the top of a small hillock here. Vines cover most of the building, avoiding only the dark stains running from the windows and roof. The stains are a dark red or brown, giving the appearance the building has been sweating blood. A weathered metal sign hangs just above the entryway, creaking in the non-existant breeze. You also see an enormous rift crawler.

Rain pours from the sky, as if the world wept at the wound created by the stabbing spire. You also see a Vvrael warlock.

Wizard followed.

Maybe the below is what is introducing the errant ambush RT calc?
I'll start watching for this specific case more to see if this ties to the pattern or not.

We spent a lot of time on plane 2 today and the issue was definitely more prevalent than most days.
Previously I thought it might be tied to being rifted (which also results on being dumped onto the ground when climbing the stairs).
But maybe instead...

I haven't picked anything up or been handed anything.
If I were to ATTACK instead of AMBUSH my RT would be 5 seconds right now (not in this clip but tested several times).
I will continue to have additional RT on my AMBUSH attacks until I put my weapon away and pull it back out.

SUCCESS!!!

Based on my log above we were able to reproduce the issue in a much simpler setting.

Basically getting knocked over and then having someone pull you to your feet is causing the open AMBUSH RT to be miscalculated.
