Writable Books 05/09/2011 03:15 PM CDT
These books can be written in with quills. The messages can be cleaned from a page, or a page can be removed from the book (boo book violence!) to make the message permanent. Each has 50 pages, can hold a very small amount (a bookmark to keep your place) and can be altered. There are several verbs, open and close being the obvious ones.

>flip book
You rapidly flip through the pages of your book, looking for a particular passage.

>rub book
You absently rub your hand over the cover of your crimson leather book.
>turn book
You turn your crimson leather book over, running your hand lovingly over its cover.

>write book; You can unlock any door if you only have the key.
You bend over your book and begin writing in Common. As your quill glides smoothly over the page, your words seem to fade into view as if magically aided. Upon finishing, you scan back over the page with a critical eye.

(Note: To insert a line break in your writing, use the | symbol.)
>read book
The page, written in Common, reads as follows:

You can unlock any door if you only have the key.

>clean page
You gently wave your fingers over the page as you consider erasing what is written there.
(Clean the page again within 30 seconds to clear this page.)
>clean page
You gently wave your fingers over the page, and the writing vanishes as if it never was.
>read book
There is nothing on this page to read.

There are five styles available:

a narrow crimson leather book
a silver-worked black leather book
a slim forest green leather book
a large ocean blue suede book
a twilight grey leather book
