Two Weapon Combat RT 04/15/2015 07:28 PM CDT

Will someone set me straight?

Katars have a speed of 3.
Rt=3+(3-2)

Shouldn't RT with two katars be 4 seconds, instead of 5? I'm not encumbered, in robes, and my agidex is like 70, and 2x in ohe, brawling, and twc, so I don't think it could be any of that.

What did i miss?

I wonder if because they're the same weapon / weight, you're drawing the penalty for not having a 'lighter' weapon in your off hand. Try it with a dagger, and see.

weapon base rt != minimum swing RT

only weapons with a base speed of 3 or less can swing in 4 seconds (i.e. daggers), a weapon base speed of 4+ and your minimum swing time is 5 seconds

Daggers and anything else with a base speed of 1 can be swung in 3 seconds. Anything with a base speed of 2 or 3 has a roundtime of 4 seconds, base speed of 4 or 5 is 5 seconds. 6 and above the base speed is the same as base roundtime with a minimum of 5 seconds.
