Just looking for some news, here. Has mining/smelting been abandoned? Should we-who-have-waited finally abandon hope and take up cobbling, instead? Or is this one of those "lurking just around the corner" surprises, like Ensorcell and Shield Maneuvers?

Inquiring mines want to know.

PS: A couple weeks after I posted a similar inquiry about Ensorcell, it was suddenly (and to everyone's surprise) implemented. Could lightning strike twice? ;)
