Introducing more tedium into a game full of it! Not that smelting exists yet or maybe ever.

I'm not suggesting the material be common. Even so, smelting then forging 100 arrowheads for demon invasions would be disgusting. That said, adding a new demon bane material might be a nice thing to do. This has previously been circumvented as there are specific weapons that exist that are effectively 8x against demons while only being 2-5x (I think) against everything else. They've done the same with Grimswarm, troll and undead bane weapons with Droughtman's and some recent storyline drops by Kenstrom. Technically, there are more bane weapons but they are exceedingly old and rare. A new bane metal might be a more interesting manner in which to explain their function.

most arrowheads of the dark ages were cast not forged, so casting arrowheads would be more a smelting thing instead of forging. They too had trouble with forging a couple hunderd thoudand arrowheads to fight a war so soapstone mold casting came early on in arrowhead making.and lost wax being developed to end splitting the shafts and to make crossbow bolt caps.forging the hollows to fit a shaft far too time consuming to be done by forging, but can easily be done in the thousands with casting.and a mold can be made by any sculptor in a pinch.
