HSN: Robes Loosen Up 08/16/2015 10:15 AM CDT
As was announced at Simucon, the alteration rules on robe armor (AsG 2) are loosening up substantially! In short, robe armor will be allowed to look like almost anything that is cloth or fabric based and worn on the torso. Some examples include: straps across the chest, a silk shirt, a sash across the chest, a gown, or even a traditional set of robes.

Here are some specific guidelines to keep in mind.

1.) The armor remains cloth or fabric based, either explicitly in the description or implicitly as per what it looks like.

2.) The armor is worn on the torso as a piece of clothing. It doesn't have to be a very large piece of clothing (a single strap is perfectly reasonable), but it shouldn't be something like "a cloth badge" (which would be worn on clothing).

3.) It is perfectly fine for the armor to extend beyond the torso, up to head-to-toe, since we don't currently have different types of cloth armor for different coverage profiles. From sashes to floor-length robes, that's all fine.
