Where to start? 02/14/2017 04:47 PM CST
Okay, so I posted this somewhere else but maybe it's better off here.

I haven't seriously played in about 9 years. Got a level 79 rogue. Not sure where to start killing stuff, where people hang out these days, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend ringing the bell at Silverwood Manor and getting live help in game from a Mentor.

Locations are:

In Wehnimer's Landing, east of the temple in Erebor Square.
In Icemule Trace, north and west of Town Center, on Cursed Street.
In Ta'Vaalor, at the west end of town, on Geaislt Wey.
In Kharam Dzu, two blocks north and two blocks east of the statue, on Golvern Street.

If that is not an option, I would join Whirlin's Discord channel: https://discordapp.com/invite/tMAUjYz

You are just about right for starting to hunt in the Rift (Plane 1) or possibly Elven Nations Old Ta'Faendryl.

If you aren't very familiar with your character you might consider underhunting a bit until you get a feel for your character. The Rift is a lot of fun but consider looking for a guide to show you the ropes the first time in.

You might also consider seeing if you can find an older rogue mentor. Keleborn might be a'right, as a hunting rogue.

Best place to see that might be here: http://forums.play.net/forums/GemStone IV/Rogues/Hunting Strategies/view

Brush up your skillz in Minotaurs before taking on the Rift or the Olde City!

Luxie will be around the Landing tonight, she's a level 77 bard. Happy to share a bounty with you for minotaur warriors or magus.

Minos. Then baby bowels/Planes 2&3. (Plane 1 has non-corps and itchy curse and is probably never going to be worth the hassle. 2 is fine and 3 cake once you have a couple levels of mino practice under your belt)

Minos are an excellent practice critter for guild reps too, if you want to progress on any skills that need them.

There was a whole bunch of stealth stuff introduced in 2010. If you've not looked at that yet, get Vanish.
