His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Aurmont Chandrennin Anodheles has announced that the Baroness Delphinuria Hochstib of Jantalar has signed a Writ of Relinquishment, officially returning the land and governance of the Barony of Talador back to its people and the next baronial family to be selected by the will of his Imperial Majesty. Upon the demise of Baron Lerep Hochstib six years ago, the lady Delphinuria, the sister of the late baron, was invested as the new ruler of the Barony of Jantalar. Her first ruling act was the restoration of sovereignty to the Barony of Mestanir. It comes as little surprise now that six years later the Barony of Talador is finally seeing its sovereignty returned in the same fashion.

Earl Eddric Jovery, the Sentinel of the North, has been sent to the Barony of Talador to oversee the withdrawal of Jantalarian forces from the once occupied territory. In the coming months, the Merchant Council of Talador, once the close advisers to the former baronial line, the Donnebrughs, will announce their candidate, one among them who will become the region's newest Baron at the pleasure of His Imperial Majesty.

While countless years of animosity exist between the neighboring baronies, all parties have expressed confidence that there will be little to no complications during the transition of power.
