A bit over a month ago I assisted regarding the fact that group spells were not functioning for F2P players. (i have tested 419 and 911, though I imagine 611 may be similar - and it'd be worth looking in to spells like 310/307/1007/1006/etc)

This is NOT regarding the fact that F2P players cannot cast group spells on other players as regular accounts can, rather than they cannot even cast them on themselves. Example:

>incant 911
You trace a series of glowing runes while chanting the phrase for Mass Blur...
Your spell is ready.
You gesture.
Your form blurs.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
>spell active

You currently have the following active spells:
Elemental Defense I ................ 1:57:46
Elemental Defense II ............... 1:57:49
Elemental Defense III .............. 1:13:28
Elemental Targeting ................ 1:13:31
Thurfel's Ward ..................... 1:16:00

Is there any plan to fix this in the somewhat near future?
The tenor of the response I got when I asked a staff member was that 'oh we'll let the guy who works on that know.'

Looks like 307 is working... not skilled enough to try 310 yet, but I imagine it's also working as intended.

Spells 419 and 611 are simply group versions of spells 414 and 601 in terms of effect. Spell 911 will be fixed at some point; upon checking just now, I see that it routes through a point in the code that wasn't fully updated for F2P. I believe that all other group spells should affect the caster normally, but post again if that turns out to not be the case.

Any chance benediction can get a casting message for F2P while you're at it?

(Note from Lyquitta's post that the spell gives an effect, but doesn't actually display a message.)

I do not have characters of the other classes (ranger, bard, paladin, cleric) available to me to test the other spells and check them, all I can do is check wizard things.

I'm just curious, is there a reason why you'd want to spend 5 to 10 more mana on a spell that works only on groups, instead of the lower-costing version of the spell?

911, 419, and 611 should effect just the caster now in the case where a F2P character without a spell pass casts the spell.
