I've been gone for a long time, is there any sites or advice on what to do with the armor specializations? I am in 8x MCP plate. Polearm user all the way.

yeesh, with plate like that you shouldn't need any specializations.

However, the krakiipedia page has it pretty well summed up.

Basically, with MCP plate, if you decide to go with Puncture/Slash/Crush fittings, you're going to be sacrificing most of the effect of the extra protection.

That means, given that MASTERFUL is the 7th ASSESS tier (also you can find this information on krakiipedia under Crit Padding), you will have 50 - 35 = 15 points of Slash/Puncture/Crush resistance. Also, you would have to train all the way up to rank 5 of protection.

Still not bad, but a very diminished return for the amount of ARMOR points it will take to get you to rank 5.

On the other hand, if you train to rank 5 in Armor Support...you'd effectively have weightless MCP plate...that'd be pretty wild.
