I picked up OHE recently and noticed something odd. I was not getting a DS pushdown while ambushing some creatures. I noticed it most with adepts, initiates and seers.

You swing a serrated black vultite dagger at an Ithzir adept!
AS: +487 vs DS: +470 with AvD: +22 + d100 roll: +59 = +98
A clean miss.
Roundtime: 4 sec.

A clean miss.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

I ambushed from hiding and missed.

I attacked in the open, same DS.

If I hide again and ambush the same adept, the same DSis the result. If I swing from the open again the same DS is the result.

I am a capped rogue, fully trained in ambush with 201 ranks of OHE.

Why am I not getting any DS pushdown from ambushing?
