Quite a few things cause sleeping people to wake up that probably shouldn't.

Not sure if this is still the case as I haven't played my bard in a while, but you used to wake up targets of Lullaby (1005) if you tried to attack them while still in RT. Obviously no attack would follow and you would get the message to 'Wait 1 more second' or something similar, but they would wake up all the same. Not sure if it was Lullaby specific or all sleep spells/abilities.
