Beseech :: Augmentation 06/10/2015 07:17 PM CDT
The Paladin can use the BESEECH verb instead of CAST to execute a spell. Doing so forces the Paladin into a kneeling position and gives the Paladin 3 seconds of Hard Roundtime, similar to the CHANNEL verb. However, unlike the CHANNEL verb, the Hard Roundtime is paid up front before the spell is cast. When the Hard Roundtime expires, the prepped spell is cast at the target. No Soft Roundtime is given to the Paladin when the 3 seconds of Hard Roundtime expires and the spell is finally cast. The Paladin gains +8 effective CS margin per stance level below (above?) defensive. Using Beseech will still work as per usual without a target modifier (1635) or if the modifier is the bonded weapon (1625). If, for whatever reason, the Paladin is incapacitated preventing spell casting or the target is untargetable (e.g., creature is dead, left the room), the spell fails. The mana cost of the spell is also paid up front. NOTE: This does not increase the CS of the Paladin, only the effective CS of successful CS spells.
