Update: Fuse Ironskin/Dragonclaw, Implement CONVERT 06/12/2017 01:58 AM CDT


Convert is a multi-faceted spell involving devotion to a God of Elanthia and the Mental power of the Monk path.

When an attack on critter with more than a beastly intelligence, the Monk attempts to CONVERT their adversary to the path of Monkhood. This is a powerful Mental spell which factors in CS, CM, INF, Spirit of the Monk, Race, active Monk spells, and hopefuly stance. The critters don't have to know of and believe in the Gods but the force of the magical Mental powers of the Monk who is devoted to their Monk path and has selected their deity (which is the next part of CONVERT), the enemy will experience a challenge to their will, their physical selves, their magical forces and their perception of the battle. The use of the spell is not conceptual but rather one of outright Mental magical power, such that it may not be necessarily a vision for the critter and something necessarily religious for them at all but will be for the Monk. The foe will suffer a conflict to determine their path and depending on the srength of wills involved, there will be a very serious consequence! The Converted critter will open their stance up at the first tier of a successful CS ward. The second level over +110 say then the critter they become consumed with RT and maybe kneel. +120 they begin to mull over their will to fight the Monk at all which results in a Calm effect on top of the stance up and RT. Above 140 and the critter begins to experience the compulsion to fight for the path to enlightment and subconciounsly follow the Monk's lead, swiping out at other foes in the area! Extremely high wards can result in the critter actually fighting for a while to the Monk's advantage as if JOINED, or as close as a critter can get. The number of seconds the critter does this would be how high over +200 the ward is, so it's not possible usually with like level enemies or rare. Also a PUSH DOWN for this spell based on stance. CHANNELED suggested for this use.

This spell could come with a vision for their chosen deity. Once this is set up, then associated visions would be on the receiving end for them during their use of it in battle and they might utter the name of their God or Gods. Once that has been set then the use of CONVERT upon self-casting (incant, cast at self) then it will give a +25% + lore bonus to STR/DEX/LOG/WIS as well as charge the Monk up with Mental energy. It will take a warm-up to cast this, an array of stretching, forms, worshipful utterances, etc. and when the Monk has become satisfied the result will continue to propel the Monk's endurance as well. The Stamina refresh rate increases 25% +lore increases.

When EVOKED then the spell becomes an area effect spell. If successful, the room's foes will arrange themselves in formations that will benefit the Monk or they might become more clam, they might begin to fight amongst themselves. Hard to resist but not as powerful as CHANNELING. CM based.



Ironskin and Dragonclaw become the same spell but Dragonclaw won't activate without a level 10 level of PT.
