Spell Concept: Wound Conversion 03/14/2017 07:22 AM CDT
Thanks for the info on Wither. I never use it because my Empaths are too low level so far:) It's just an idea, maybe something good will come from it.

Wound Conversion is a high level spell that when running will do the following things: allow the Empath to convert the wound into an offensive action, allow them to convert their wound to mana through a heal down spell, increase the severity of the worst wound on a target if used as a warding spell.

Converting the Wound into an offensive action will be a running response to the receiving of one through an offensive act. If an enemy wounds you then the effect will trigger an immediate maneuver based reaction against whomever dispensed the damage. The response will be something like a spark that occurs when the protection of the spell is breached and the energy field lashes out chaotically at the same area of the target who assaulted the Empath. If the wound is severe then the Cman will reflect that intensity. SMC, Transformation Lore, Level, Harness Power, Tending training and Empath Circle knowledge all contribute to the strength of the maneuver and its damage basis. Wound Conversion will also possibly reduce the wound by up to 1 full crit rank. It would be terrific to have a saving throw with a death-crit (not blood loss death) be given the chance to heal down instantly to the next lower tier to spare the Path.

When WC is running then each heal-down cast they make will have a mana conversion (the higher the wound level the more mana). The amount is not huge but enough to help out.

When used offensively at a Target then the worst wound on the creature will head for the Rank 3 death-crit as quickly as the success rate indicates from the ward. *Mass Effect Spell*
