Empath Spell Concept: Troll's Blood Shell 03/06/2017 05:15 AM CST

The Empath calls upon the forces of their spiritual and empathic knowledge to impart a layer of armor around their skin of living Troll's blood. The suit of blood functions as if it were inside veins and circulates all around the entire body area of the Empath as if suspended by invisible veins. The suit of armor has many effects including: Granting blood instead of removing blood from a blow, reversing the damage from a blow (less 1 crit rank when returned to the critter of origin), catching the weapon and forcing it to be expelled from the circulatory blood system and onto the ground, the blood may spatter onto the enemy causing damage, some of the blood may spill onto adventurers with healing effects, the blood may totally nullify an incoming attack, the blood may act suddenly as a weapon and form itself into a blunt instrument which creates a maneuver based assault, the blood may drop to the ground for a mini e-wave/bloodwave effect, the blood may from time to time become a hardened version with actual troll flesh building up around it in genetic fluxuation which in turn creates a great increase in critical protection, the blood may act parasitically on the enemy and drain their life/spirit/magic to the Empath, the blood may reduce the cost of casting healing spells, the blood may occassionally automatically transfer-reduce-healdown injuries of joined party members, can form into a puddle of blood that causes foes to slip, can engineer roundtime for crowds of 3 or more in a room...

When not hunting the shell may reduce the cost and RT of healdowns greatly (especially the RT). Also when using herbs to heal, the blood will have the chance to replenish the dose it used (so that last drop is replaced before the bottle twinkles to dust).

A utility spell with huge potentialities and a very cool gross effect for the macabre path. It would be built in that the blood has a protection around it as if it were inside veins so it's not messy everywhere. Would be a high level spell for this much bang for the buck. I have't even checked where there's room but it would be a cool spell.
