~April Premium Contest~ 04/03/2017 09:13 PM CDT
Wandering Winos Wanted

Have you ever been sipping on a glass of white wine wishing it were more subtle, robust, crisp, or slightly more buttery? Now is your chance! For this month's contest, you're to design some new wine flavor taste messaging.

Here are the requirements:
1. Provide the type of wine
2. Provide a 1st person taste message
3. Provide a second 1st person taste message
4. Provide optional racial 1 person messaging (x2). (If you provide any racial taste message it needs to come with 2 messages)

Entries that do not include all three requirements, with the fourth being optional, will not be considered eligible.
Contestants have until midnight PT on April 30, 2017 to get entries to me.

Ten winners will be chosen from the submitted entries.

Like all Premium Monthly Contests, entries are subject to change based on the discretion
of the GMs and QC. Entries will be judged during the first week of May. Zoelle
will not judge this contest except in the rare case of a tie. The winners will be
announced as soon as possible afterwards. Zoelle reserves the right to make any changes
to items that she, or QC, deems necessary.

Please direct any questions to the Premium Contests folder on the official message boards.

REMINDERS: THERE IS NO GUARANTEE ANY WINNING ITEM WILL BE CREATED IN GAME!
USE THE FORM IN PREMIUM 6 WHEN SENDING YOUR CONTEST ENTRY

Are there any limits to using certain grapes/names of wine for the type of wine? There's obviously champagne and I've seen Muscat, chardonnay, Merlot within the game. Are we are more so supposed to describe the type as "a plain glass of red wine" as opposed to "a large glass of merlot?"

I'm going more for a description of the wine taste you're providing. Something like "a sweet pear and white grape riesling", or like "a cherry and currant red wine". I'm looking more for a description of the flavor you're providing so I don't mix a merlot flavor with a chardonnay.

I might have misunderstood the OP's question, but I think she was referring to the fact that some wines and grapes are named from the region where they are grown or vinted. Since many of those regions don't exist in GS, it sort of pushes the line. Some already exist in game, however, but I can see where the OP might be concerned it would be rejected because of the name based on region.

Yep, THIS! Sorry was a little tired when I wrote that question last night! ;)

It seems when looking through wine types that exist in the game already, that they are based off of names of grape varieties (merlot, chardonnay, muscat) and nothing is named after a region unless it's an in-game one. So MAAAYBEEE something like Chianti might not be accepted since the wine grown in that area is named off of the region and not the type of grapes used to produce the wine.

Wines that have precedents (riesling, chardonnay, etc..) are ok, but any new ones can possibly be okayed by QC, but it leans more on the side of not allowed. You can submit any ideas you wish, but you may want to submit a back-up on the off chance they get denied.

Thanks, Zoelle. I just picked a grape I knew was in game and made something based on that. :)
