Connection Issues with 1 Character 08/29/2017 09:40 AM CDT

This is for GS Plat, but figured topost here to get more help.

I just resubbed, and can play all my characters through SF, except one (my main, Taakhooshi), who gets aninstant disconnect when logging in via SF. I can log in just fine with that character through Wizard and have done so, and moved him around in an attempt to fix the problem, but still get an instant disconnect when using SF with that character.

As a note, I did a complete uninstall of SF and Wizard, and then a reinstall. When I did the reinstall, I did NOT reinstall Lich (after having uninstalled Lich completely) in case that is the problem. I will wait to reinstall Lich until I get the problem fixed.

Welcome back! While I understand it may not be mutual, I'm damned glad to see the Taakhooshi striding the lands agian.

Review of what hasn't worked (or only worked for a short time):

-rebooting

-fresh installs

-log in through website or wizard

-closing story

-not running any extra autostart scripts at log

-constant log in log off to jolt the problem

-throwing my laptop at a wall

-crying myself to sleep

-yelling/screaming at my computer

-disabling Norton

What has worked:

-removing the DR veil iron MoonShard pendant

tl;dr - It appears this sometimes can be item-related. Log in with the sorcerer on Wiz since that works, locker everything 'unique', especially if you have that DR pendant, and then try SF again.

I have had this happen before where the story widow didn't load right. Logging into the character in the Web browser and moving him a few rooms over seemed to fix it.

Same here, especially after a death.

But, I took him at his word that he'd already done so.
