Something seems to have changed in the login process to the game, and with the website overall.

Details:

Firefox 50.1 cannot connect via HTTPS (yes, I don't send my password over port 80, thank you).

For comparison - Chrome v 55.0 would connect via HTTPS

It appeared nearly all MS IE prior to version 10 experience "connection closed", but MS IE 11 on Win7, 8.1 and 10 seemed to function for HTTPS

Avalon 4.3.3 would not connect (hung at authorizing account)

Avalon 4.1.5 would not connect (hung at authorizing account)

Lich login would time out

At 12 PM EDT the status continued for Firefox 50.1 and MS IE versions - however all other issues seem to have cleared. I expect, if changes were made and we're trying to stabilize that 'cleared' will be hit or miss depending.

What happened? If this was a planned change, are we no longer notifying on them?

I posted similar dismay over on the Simutronics board. I couldn't even get into the fora, with MSIE, at first, though Chrome would work. Shutdown and re-boot, and the SGEtask would still pop BUT go no further than the UN/PW screen.
(Two minutes after posting, naturally, the SGE responded just fine. I wasn't glaring at it sufficiently fiercely...)
