5 Cman Concepts: Combo, Precise Aim, Backstab, Heartpierce, Knee-Bash 03/10/2017 11:55 PM CST

Combo gives the chance for the square or semi to stack blows for greater effect similar to a Monk. Blows will be AIMED and must hit the specified area in order for the COMBO to become possible. For example, if the ambusher attempts to 'leg' a critter and manages to knock them down instead causing a stun and a level 2 Crit then the Combo will be activated for the HEAD. If it's possible to set the combos one's self using a nemonic then one could achieve any result. I would imagine 3 Ranks would be ideal since more than 3 Combos will be a bit overabundant and complex to implement, probably? The difference will be that you have a big bonus to aiming at the next area you want to strike (such as head after leg) and that the blow will rise in crit rank. For example, you may set this to work with a right leg, head, right leg and Rank 1 gives you the 1st activation possibility (head), Rank 2 2nd (right leg again) Rank 3 Head again 3rd. It should be a very solid bonus to make aiming more proficient and the wound a good bit more effective. For Monks this would be a really interesting device to align with automatically triggered combos, potentially! Big boost to their damage perhaps.

Precise Aim is a system to deal with the huge problem of big RT for missed ambush attempts and to help out with the success rate of aiming altogether. When Precise Aim is in effect, the strike will be truer to the intended area and if they happen to miss altogether, their RT will be cut very significantly. For example with a 5 Rank system one could expect a +10% to Aim per rank and a -1RT to missed blows. I'm talking about those horrible 11 Sec. RT my Ranger is getting. I'm not too familiar with the way things are determined now as far as that, but it would be a nice boost even if the ambusher only gets a 6 sec. RT. Maybe cutting it in half would be the cap? For ranged users this would be a really nice addition and it would be independent of sighting to raise crit rank or whatever.

Backstab is a Rogue only skill which takes a good bit of time to build up to from the shadows with SMASTERY up (must be a full Master). To do this, the Rogue will stalk the victim for 'two sniffs' worth of RT. On the second sniff, the Rogue will make the attempt to find the connection from behind the critter wasn't expecting. They will be doing everything they can just before to find the rhythm and placement of the beast from the hidden position to find the most effective and perfect timing and placement for their infliction of the Backstab. This must be done with a Short Sword or lower with a huge bonus for Daggers. What this does is give a big AS boost and will have a separate roll to hit something vital. 5 Ranks would be +10 AS per Rank when Backstabbing and +10% to hit a vital per Rank.

Heartpierce is a Warrior only skill which attempts to aim directly at the heart of the critter. If the critter has a heart, the Warrior goes straight for the center of it with a forward blow. They do their best to get into the heart and stop its beating. The issue of the blow only can be done when the critter is stunned or otherwise incapacitated (a Shout or other advantage will be useful as a prep). The result is as vicious a physical blow as possible but it will 'dishearten' the beast if it manages to survive and a -10 to DS per Rank of Heartpierce will apply with a successful attack and up to 3 Ranks. Critical weighting directly applies to the chance of a critical in their heart.

Second-Strike attempts to use the hilt or other butt end of a weapon to knock a critter in the knee, knocking them over.
