You probably need flaring arm armor. i.e. gauntlets which inspect as arm coverage rather than UAC gear. Any gld or cman attacks will be tied to armor not UAC gear.
spunch takes in to account weapons you are holding in your hands for flares, it seems like an oversight that it does not take into account gloves as well.
